Tutti Flutti Flute Ensemble was established in June, 2004. Led by the famous flutist Matthew Wu, we now have more than 30 members ranging from seven-years old to adults, divided into three age groups: Junior, Intermediate and Senior. They perform regular at Hong Kong City Hall every year.
In musical terms "Tutti" means playing together and "Flutti" means flute. Therefore Tutti Flutti means flutists all playing together.
The main aim of Tutti Flutti Flute Ensemble is to raise the standard of flute performance in Hong Kong. We hope that by playing different styles of music and making regular public performances, we will inspire interest and instill confidence in flutists in Hong Kong.
Our Ensemble held its inaugural performance at Hong Kong City Hall in October, 2004. After this successful concert, Tutti Flutti was invited to perform as guest performer in the "TUTTI FLUTTI FANTASIA", organized by JCI, as well as the Hong Kong DiZi Festival, organized by the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, in August, 2005.
With the objective of enhancing Hong Kong's flute performance level. We are now planning our upcoming program which includes some joint projects with other musical organizations as well as engaging in exchange programs.
